Banksy Vandalism Good for Economy

After numerous new stencils went up over night in New Orleans a new type of discussion is emerging about the legitamacy of Banksy's graffiti.  So the meat of the story is that his newest work is already being removed.  Some removed as in catching the buff or other forms of oakie cover-up and revandalism.  But more excitingly, a lot of his pieces are literally being removed from entire buildings by cutting and hacking.  This comes as no surprise since his work has been selling in the 6 digit range at galleries and auction houses like Bonhams.  Check out this article to read about the reception of people to Banksy's clandestine stencils in New Orleans.
